Doctor Mole Drilling
(e-mole®)

Doctor mole drilling machine is a machine developed as hydraulic pressure type of e-mole. Since the weight of disassembled parts is light, it is possible to be carried by manpower or wheelbarrow and loading into confined space. Therefore, we can conduct drilling survey at where it’s difficult to work by standard drilling rig.

Item Doctor Mole drilling machine Conventional drilling machine

What is doctor mole (Super mole) drilling machine?

Doctor mole drilling machine is a machine developed as hydraulic pressure type of e-mole. Since the weight of disassembled parts is light, it is possible to be carried by manpower or wheelbarrow and loading into confined space. Therefore, we can conduct drilling survey at where it’s difficult to work by standard drilling rig. By using a small air hammer together, it is possible to operate water drain drilling on embankment instead of large percussion machine.

High quality core sampling by doctor mole drilling machine

Combining Dr. Mole Drilling with the high-quality drilling (Hybrid Drilling Method) HTX66 improves the recovery rate and accuracy and obtains high-quality core samples.

Survey status and core samples at the Toma landslide area (Nakagusuku Village, Okinawa Prefecture) conducted as part of joint research with the Public Works Research Institute, "Research on sampling and certification methods for slip layers.
