We held a seminar in Indonesia as part of JICA’s “SDGs Business Verification Survey with the Private Sector for the Hybrid Drilling Method,” which conducted from September 2023 to February 2026. The survey aims to improve the quality of geological surveys by verifying its applicability in Indonesia and promoting a widespread understanding of the method.

During the seminar, we introduced technical guidelines for the “Hybrid Drilling Method” based on the outcome of drilling surveys at three demonstration sites in Indonesia.

At the venue, we exhibited high-quality core samples obtained using this method, along with key machinery components. This allowed us to actively deepen technical exchanges with the participants.

In particular, the participants were interested in the exhibited core samples.

Many evaluated the method highly, stating, “Compared to conventional drilling methods, it accurately reproduces the underground conditions, allowing highly accurate geotechnical data to be reflected in designs.”
